After a fourteen month break, Utilita re-launched into the UK domestic energy market with three three tariffs, energysaver, energysaverplus and planetsaver in February 2007.
The energysaver tariff saves energy at no additional cost to the customer. Customers also receive a high level of planetpoints, a Free Home Energy Survey and energy saving advice.
As when Utilita entered the market initially back in 2004 with the tariffs get80, get130, get180 and get280 the concept of reference prices is being applied again.
As a guide Utilita calculate their Energy Saving Tariffs from a Reference Price. The Reference Prices being used is as follows;
The Utilita energysaver tariff prices are set at these Reference Prices less 10% to assist with Utilita’s own rating and data quality. Discounts are then applied to achieve specific end-pricing results. These discounts may change from time to time.
Customers electing for the energysaver tariff will also be entitled to 10 planetpoints per month which can then be redeemed against various energy saving devices, from lightbulbs at 50 planetpoints to loft insulation at 1800 planetpoints.
If you wish to see just how competitive the energysaver tariff is from Utilita please feel free to use any of the following free 100% impartial comparison tools:
