British Gas launch WebSaver 5

British Gas has today launched WebSaver 5 as a direct but cheaper replacement to WebSaver 4 which is being withdrawn with immediate effect. WebSaver 5 is an online energy account where prices are guaranteed to be 6% lower than the British Gas standard tariff until 28th February 2011, so regardless of whether prices go up or down the tariff will always be 6% lower than the standard prices.

British Gas today launched WebSaver 4 as a direct replacement to WebSaver 3 and at the same time took pole position in the standard customer best price position in three areas of the UK.

first:utility has launched Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 in two distribution areas, Midlands Electricity and East Midlands Electricity. Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available to dual fuel (gas and electricity) customers only. There is not an option for gas or electricity only Smart Dual fuel online saver V1 is available as online account with monthly direct debit payment only.

EDF relaunch Online Tariff Version 5

EDF Energy has today relaunched Online Tariff Version 5 across 10 distribution areas. Customers signing up for Online Tariff Version 5 are guaranteed a 2% discount off the standard EDF Energy unit prices until the end of July 2010.

EBICo reduce gas and electricity prices

EBICo, the not for profit gas and electricity supplier has announced a reduction in their gas and electricity prices with effect from today. The reduction in gas prices is 2.52% and this applies in every region. The reduction in electricity prices averages 7.74% across all regions ? the best reduction is in the Southern Electric region where the reduction is 9.62% and the worst in Scottish Hydro-Electric?s area where the reduction is only 4.49%

Scottish and Southern Energy, domestic energy price cut

Scottish and Southern Energy have today announced a price cut across its domestic electricity and gas tariffs that will see the average prices for customers fall by 9% on electricity and 4% for gas. The price cut will apply to existing customers from 30th March 2009. This is the second major energy supplier to reduce domestic energy prices within the last few weeks.
